Wasis Diop returns with his first new album in 10 years.  Wasis came to prominence with the Top 40 single “Africa Dream” as well as the theme song for The Thomas Crowne Affair movie.


The new album marries finesse and delicate melodies as Diop creates a modern multi-layered sound that skilfully weaves in elements of jazz, rock and soul as well as indigenous music from other countries combined with his warm and sensual voice. Judu Bék is an album that evokes reminiscence. Wasis speaks of the  lives of outcasts, he remembers the streets of Dakar where he wandered as a child and gives his vision of the world.
